Worship
While we’re rooted here in Fleetwood, many of our members have served across the area — including Kutztown, Blandon, and the surrounding Berks County community. Wherever you’re from, you’ll find a warm welcome.
Join us for worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM. Our church family in welcomes you with classic music, engaging preaching, and a place where children and adults can learn and grow together.
What We Believe at Emmanuel United Methodist Church
At Emmanuel United Methodist Church, we are a Christ-centered community devoted to sharing God’s love and salvation. Our beliefs are grounded in Scripture and the historic teaching of the Church.
God’s Love and Salvation
We believe in the boundless love of God for the world. As John 3:16–17 teaches:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
God’s desire is that all people may know His love through Jesus Christ.
The Holy Trinity
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is co-equal and co-eternal — one God in essence, three in person and role — as handed down through centuries of Christian faith.
Jesus Christ’s Sacrifice and Resurrection
We believe salvation comes through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
“He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 John 2:2)
His bodily resurrection confirms victory over sin and death (John 20:27).
Through Him, we receive forgiveness, hope, and eternal life.
Salvation Through Faith
Salvation is a gift of God, received by faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9–10 teaches that if we confess “Jesus is Lord” and believe God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved.
The Holy Spirit’s Guidance
We believe the Holy Spirit leads and empowers believers. As Romans 8:14 reminds us, “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” The Spirit enables us to live faithfully and grow in holiness.
The Bible as God’s Word
We affirm the authority of the Bible as the inspired Word of God.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
God’s Word is infallible and trustworthy for faith and life.
Sin and Redemption
Sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2), but through Christ we are redeemed. “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
Discipleship and Worship
We seek to follow Christ daily and worship “in spirit and truth” (John 4:23–24). Worship is the heart of our life together here in town.
Our Mission in the World
We believe we are Christ’s ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20–21), called to share His message of reconciliation and hope here locally and with our neighbors across Berks County.
Christ’s Return
We await Christ’s promised return with hope and expectation: “Behold, I am coming soon!” (Revelation 22:12).
God’s desire is that all people may know His love through Jesus Christ.
